Facilitating Strategic Planning

Using our own tried and tested model we work with boards of directors and senior managers to discuss, agree and sign off a Bull’s Eye for the business. As a result of clarifying direction with organisations we help produce a SWOT analysis that unlike more traditional uses of this model focuses on the future; the SWOT is done against the Bull’s Eye – that is to say “where do we want to be in 3 years time?” This work will always lead to a Key Change Project and Action Plan

Managing Key Change Projects

Some of our clients need help and support with managing and delivering a Key Change Project.  In such cases we can have an ongoing role helping to achieve change. A Key Change Project could be:

  • A Contemporary Marketing Strategy
  • Succession Planning
  • Developing & Managing Cultural Change
  • Organisational Structure

Some clients may need more than one Key Change Project. In this instance we may focus on one at a time or work with different people within the organisation who take overall responsibility for a specific project.

Director Development

All proactive, forward thinking directors know the value of investing in their own development. We offer one-to-one mentoring and advice and if they are lucky enough to be based in Herefordshire, they can join our ten-session programme as part of a group of local directors who meet once a month. The Herefordshire Directors’ Forum gives local business people the chance to learn from each other, share problems and solutions and take time out of ‘business as usual’ to consider how to take their businesses forward.

We work with many people in all types of organisations who wish to develop by changing their thinking, changing their behaviour and changing what they do. Often this work is at its most effective when done confidentially and in an environment of trust.

In a world of increasing complexity, unprecedented speed of change and perhaps less certainty than ever before, more and more successful people are working with a coach. This is not counselling: counselling is often concerned with the past and the present. Coaching is more concerned with the present and the future. If you ask yourself: "Where do I personally want to be in three years?" we can help you to find the answer and make it happen.

Many of our clients understand and appreciate the benefits of high quality training for themselves and their staff. They also value the fact that we can design and deliver a range of training courses tailored to their needs. This means mixing and matching, adjusting and tweaking the main topics we cover and writing games or case studies pertinent to their requirements and to the level of staff involved. Each course is evaluated to ensure that it meets agreed objectives, content, quality of training material used and the delivery style.

Management Courses:

  • Developing people through appraisals
  • Finance for the non- finance manager
  • Presentation skills
  • Building effective teams
  • Motivating staff
  • Managing conflict
  • Chairing productive meetings
  • Recruiting, interviewing and selecting the right staff

All staff

  • Effective communication
  • Report writing
  • Working as part of a team
  • Time management
  • Enhancing self awareness

Many of our courses draw upon and use well-known and extremely powerful tools such as Transactional Analysis and The Myers Briggs Personality Indicator. Topics can exist as a stand-alone or be used within a longer developmental programme.
